Tempelhof Airport, Berlin, 1960. Our story begins on a baseball diamond at the United States Air Force Base shortly after World War II. Here, a group of young athletes – sons of military families stationed in the German capital – form a selection team under the name Berlin ALL STARS.

After racking up regional and national titles, they began traveling across the continent to compete. In 1960, they took home the European Championship.

That followed with an invite to that summer’s Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania – sacred territory for America’s YOUNG & BRAVE.

The BASebALL TeAMS slowly dissolved in tandem with the United States’ military presence in Germany.

In 2012, ONE OF THE clubS was revived by lifelong baseball fan Joey Elgersma with a fresh vision to include a variety of sports and youth initiatives under the original moniker.

Five years later, we felt inspired to honour the original 1960 all stars in a major league way. Together with our friends from’47, we brought the core members – John Reale, Ed Cole, and Pat Williams - together for a reunion at the mecca of sports, Boston's Fenway Park. Check out the incredible story of them below:

A BOND THAT NEVER BREAKS by Joey Elgersma, Stephan Wever, and Paul Ward

We also co-produced a limited capsule collection of jerseys, caps, and pennants to commemorate the magic of '60. The collection was released in-store at SOTO Berlin, as well as online at 47brand.com.
