It’s been a while—no other way to put it—and, excuse our language, but damn, it’s been way too long since we gathered our extended fam for a day packed with joy, hugs, music, and endless good vibes. After two years that felt like an eternity, we finally reconnected with our community in person, bringing back the magic of our legendary Hood Laps.
For those who don’t know (or have been sleeping on us for the past nine years), Hood Laps is our annual relay race that takes Kreuzberg’s youth around the neighborhood for an electrifying, head-to-head showdown—all about speed and community.
After months of social isolation, we knew we had to return in style. So, we painted our HQ neon green (shoutout to Kuba and Luca!) and made it unforgettable.

We invited our female DJ friends and brought culinary yum yum’s. Once again we asked our attendees: who’s the fastest in the hood?

To set the mood with the right atmosphere, we turned Kastanienplatz into a funfair with the support of the swoosh and Gewobag. Big up to Tiny Tim and his pizza, the homies from Sabor a mí and their tacos, our homeboy Aaron who made our secret dreams of popcorn and cotton candy a reality, the right hands at the flea market stands, as well as Mike Nasa for the MCing and last but not least Coco Calypso, Hanaby and our day one Dreea for the great DJ sets.

Dressed in a brand new set of custom Hood Laps shirts our 20 teams gathered at our HQ to go head to head. As you know we like switching things up, which is exactly why we’ve added a 40m dash and 100m race to the traditional 400m relay to really find out who has a need for speed.
After hours of racing the captain Pia along with her teammates Wendall, Erik, Steffi and Fredi took home 500€ cash home, proving to us that they are the fastest in the hood.

Congrats once again to everybody who was running and all of the supporters who stopped by for a laugh, a drink and a good time. We love you long time <3
See you soon!
