After four unforgettable years of collaboration on and off the court, the Berlin Braves and BG 2000 — also known as Berlin Braves 2000 — are going their separate ways, as BG 2000 embarks on an exciting new chapter by joining forces with DBV Charlottenburg.

Together, under the Berlin Braves 2000 name, we built more than just a basketball team. We created a platform where talent, community, and creativity thrived. It was a bold and loud experiment — blending the heritage of grassroots basketball with a fresh, unconventional approach to sport and culture. And for that, we’re proud.
This partnership was never just about competition. It was about storytelling. About pushing boundaries. About redefining what a modern basketball club could look and feel like. From standout uniforms to unforgettable game-day energy, Berlin Braves 2000 captured imaginations far beyond the court. A project powered by passion, trust, and a shared belief in doing things differently.

Now, BG 2000 has made the strategic decision to fuse with DBV Charlottenburg — a club with over 40 years of tradition and deep roots in Berlin’s basketball scene. We fully understand and support their move to prioritise structure, experience, and long-term sustainability. It’s a big step — and one we believe will contribute to strengthening basketball in the city.
We’re incredibly proud to have been part of this chapter — and especially grateful to the players, coaches, volunteers, and fans who brought the Berlin Braves 2000 vision to life. And most importantly, to the BG 2000 board and creatives. Thank you for all the work you’ve put in this path with you.
Your next chapter starts now — and we wish you nothing but success as you build something new with DBV Charlottenburg. No matter the name, the energy and impact of Berlin Braves 2000 will always be part of our shared legacy.
As for us, Berlin Braves Basketball continues — on the court, off the court, in our city and beyond. The journey isn’t over. It’s just evolving. Stay tuned!
Much love and respect,
Berlin Braves
